NorthStar, an IT vendor which sells enterprise software to financial services firms, has appointed Allen Gula, Byron Vielehr and Richard Freyberg to its chief investment officer advisory board.

Gula currently serves as an adviser to the office of the chairman of Franklin Resources, the US asset management firm. He was previously co-president and chief information officer at Franklin Resources, responsible for software development and implementation, systems support and telecoms. Prior to that he was executive vice-president at KeyCorp, the financial services company.
