Three top equities bankers leave HSBC

The global head of research and heads of European sales and trading at HSBC Securities have all left the equities arm of the global banking group.

Mark Brown, global head of research, is believed to have taken the decision to leave some weeks ago. He is thought to have been frustrated at the difficulty of developing the research product, given HSBC's reluctance to pay highly enough to attract and keep top-rated analysts.
