Three-decade corporate finance veteran quits STJ

Former European investment banking head at Deutsche Bank and Nomura steps down as partner at independent advisory firm for new role

Veteran corporate finance banker Christian Thun-Hohenstein has stepped down from STJ Advisors, taking the number of partners at the independent capital markets advisory firm to 13.

Thun-Hohenstein, whose career of more than 30 years in corporate finance has included stints as the head of European investment banking at Nomura and the co-head of European investment banking division at Deutsche Bank, has left STJ, which was set up in 2008 by former Dresdner Kleinwort banker John St John, four years after joining as a partner, according to a filing by the advisory firm with Companies House dated October 27.
