Dominique de Villepin, the dashing French prime minister, should probably speak out against Mittal's bid.
While de Villepin was particularly vocal last summer when PepsiCo almost made an offer for French food group Danone, he has resisted his cultural instinct and not uttered a word against the Mittal deal â leaving that to his finance minister Thierry Breton and president Jacques Chirac.
