Barclays Global Investors and the London Stock Exchange have launched the first UK exchange-traded fund to invest in the technology, media and telecoms sectors, coinciding with the launch of a new FTSE TMT index.

The new ETF, the iFTSE TMT, is the UK's second exchange-traded fund, joining the iFTSE100 ETF, which was launched in April.
