The publication of companies’ gender pay gap data over recent months has rightly sparked debate about gender imbalances in the make-up of companies’ workforces.

Responsible employers have invested in a range of positive programmes to improve women’s representation in senior roles, from networks to mentoring schemes, many with significant success.
