A new list revealing the 50 most important women in the hedge fund industry has been published, just three months after research showed female hedge fund managers have performed substantially better than men.

Three women are singled out for special mention in the '50 Leading Women in Hedge Funds' list, which was published by The Hedge Fund Journal, a hedge fund trade magazine, in association with PricewaterhouseCoopers, the accounting firm.
