The managing partner of Germany’s oldest bank who was accused of insider trading by prosecutors in Hamburg last year has been cleared of any wrongdoing.

Hendrik Riehmer, a prominent name in German banking circles, was investigated amid a probe into two acquaintances who gained €3.2m from trading the shares of shipping company Hapag-Lloyd.
