A senior vice-president at Guy Carpenter has been suspended following a sexually explicit email he sent to colleagues on his birthday.

James Conmy, a senior vice-president in the global marine and energy speciality at the insurance brokerage, wrote in an email: “There are doughnuts on Alf’s desk as it’s my birthday today. I hope people like Krispy Kremes – I know [female colleague] enjoys a glazed ring.”
