Blankfein signals increased focus on Goldman’s Frankfurt operations
Lloyd Blankfein, the chairman and chief executive of Goldman Sachs, on Thursday posted a cryptic message on Twitter, saying that he will be “spending a lot more time” in Frankfurt. Blankfein’s message comes a day after he hosted an employee town hall in the German city, and a few weeks after the US investment bank decided to lease the upper floor of a building at the heart of the city’s business district. Blackstone posts 19% increase in Q3 earnings
Blackstone on Thursday reported an 18.6% rise in its third-quarter profit to $384.6m, compared with $312.9m during the same period a year earlier, as the US private equity firm’s assets under management rose from $361bn to $387.4bn. (WSJ)
