Top ten banks consolidate ECM market share

The top ten banks have increased their global market share in equity capital markets (ECM) in the first nine months of this year, according to Dealogic.

The ten banks at the top of the league tables for global ECM bookrunners increased their market share from 72% last year to 83% in the first nine months 2001. Dealogic defines ECM activity as IPOs, secondary offers and convertible securities.
