Top executives at UBS were paid almost Sfr250m (€155m) in compensation last year, marking an 11% increase from the previous year, as profits from the Swiss bank's financial businesses rose by a fifth.

UBS shelled out Sfr246.8m in compensation for its chairman, two vice-chairmen and 10 members of the group executive board last year.
