John Wood, a top-ranked UK equities fund manager at JO Hambro Capital Management, is to retire from the industry after 26 years.

Wood, who is 51, will step down from managing his £1.8 billion UK Opportunities Fund and leave the company on September 30, JO Hambro said in a statement today.
