Britain is leaving the European Union and there can be no turning back. That is settled. Even though I voted to Remain last year, I believe that we must respect and deliver the decision taken by the British people. But others do not. In different ways, Labour, the Liberal Democrats and the Scottish Nationalists have all promised to do things that would reach the same outcome – blocking our departure from the European Union.

Brexit, and the manner in which we leave the European Union, is the biggest political issue of the decade and is likely to have a more significant effect than any other issue in recent decades.
