Tough conditions cost Virgin Mobile £154m

Shares of Virgin Mobile, the UK mobile operator which cut the price of its initial public offering by 43% on Tuesday, started life at a 2% premium when trading commenced in London on Wednesday.

JP Morgan and Morgan Stanley were joint global co-ordinators, joint bookrunners and joint sponsors to the offer, which raised £125m (€188m), £154m less than originally planned.
