Towers Watson, the investment consultancy, has completed an overhaul of its senior leadership team with the promotion of Steve Carlson, a senior consultant in its US business, to head of investment for the Americas.

Carlson's promotion follows the elevation of Ed Francis to head of investment in Europe, succeeding Chris Ford, the new London-based global chief. Towers Watson's investment practice advises investors with assets worth $2 trillion in total.
