One of the largest consultants to retirement schemes in the UK is launching its first ever master trust in a bid to capitalise on the greater pensions freedoms being ushered in by the UK Chancellor of the Exchequer.

Towers Watson has appointed investment industry veteran Donald Brydon to chair the trustee board of the new trust, while Fiona Matthews, who previously led its UK risk solutions division, will be its managing director.
