Towers Watson tipped as Russell suitor

As the hours tick down towards Friday’s deadline for final bids for Russell Investments, consultant Towers Watson has emerged as one of the favourites to buy the business from the London Stock Exchange.

People familiar with the situation say Towers Watson is keen, although a spokesman declined to comment. Aberdeen Asset Management, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce and a Chinese firm are also said to have shown interest.
