Aberdeen Asset Management's chief operating officer is stepping down to take up the same role at interdealer broker TP Icap, the companies confirmed on Friday, January 20.

Iain Plunkett, who doubles up as chief information officer at Aberdeen, joined the asset manager in September 2015, according to his LinkedIn profile. That followed a stint of nearly two years at Barclays, where he was latterly head of strategy and transformation. Prior to Barclays, he worked at UBS for 14 years, where his roles included head of information technology.
