Texas Pacific Group, the US private equity firm, has recruited the former chief executive of Banca Nazionale del Lavoro as a country adviser on deals in Italy.

Davide Croff, who was chief executive of BNL between 2000 and June 2003, will be responsible for helping Texas Pacific source deals in Italy, as well as offering other advisory services using his extensive industrial and political relationships in the country.
