US private equity firm TPG Capital has hired David Tan from rival firm KKR to help expand its investment team in Asia.

Tan will join TPG’s Singapore office, where he will be responsible for sourcing deals in Southeast Asia, the firm said in a statement on Sunday. In his new role, Tan will work closely with Ganen Sarvananthan and Dominic Picone, two senior TPG executives who are also based in Asia.
