A week after the fine wine community descended on Bordeaux to taste the 2012 harvest in the annual En Primeur campaign, some investors are ready to raise their glasses to the wines that outperformed the market this year.
Vintages of Chateau Angelus and Chateau Pavie, reds from the Bordeaux region of France, were among the best performing wines traded on the Liv-ex - the London International Vintners Exchange - between March 2012 and March 2013. Prices of Angelus and Pavie rallied following their promotion to the highest league of the St Emilion Classification - the top Premier Grand Cru Classe A.
