Lee Cook, head of trading and sales trading at JP Morgan, has taken over responsibility for the bank's European cash equities business and become the latest trader to head an equities team.

His promotion follows the appointment of half a dozen traders as heads of European equities at larger investment banks in London. They include Cook's boss, John Corrie, head of equities for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
