BC Partners hires HgCapital’s former head of healthcare
Philipp Schwalber, a former partner at HgCapital, has left the private equity firm to join rival London buyout shop BC Partners. Schwalber previously headed up the healthcare investment team at HgCapital and has joined BC Partners’ roster of dealmakers as a partner.

Abraaj appoints McKinsey veteran to lead impact investment push
Emerging markets private equity firm Abraaj Group has appointed former McKinsey & Co. veteran Kito de Boer to oversee its impact investing business. De Boer has joined Abraaj as a managing partner, bringing more than three decades’ experience in various management consultancy and diplomatic roles to the investment firm.
