Trading Places: Citi taps Goldman banker, Barclays nabs Morgan Stanley fintech exec, hedge fund guru tipped for GAM top job

Marina Shchukina, who was head of fintech and financial institutions ECM at Morgan Stanley, has signed up at Barclays as head of investor relations. She replaces Chris Manners, who moved to a strategy role at Barclays in March. She spent 16 years at Morgan Stanley until her departure in July, amid a second wave of job cuts at the Wall Street bank, which saw around 70 dealmakers in Europe depart.

Citigroup has hired senior Goldman Sachs banker Carles Joufor its leveraged finance team as the Wall Street bank looks to bolster the unit in Europe. Jou, who moves to London from Paris for the role, joins after 14 years at Goldman Sachs. He is set to focus on financial sponsor clients in Europe.
