Trading Places: KPMG’s Mehta gets second term, LME finds full-time chair, PwC chooses Kande

KPMG UK chair Bina Mehta was reappointed for a second term after a vote by the firm’s partnership. Mehta was initially appointed in February 2021 to chair the firm for 12 months, but partners voted in November that year to extend her term until February 2024. She has now been given a further two-year term, which will run to 31 March 2026, the firm said in a 1 November statement.

KPMG UK also created 56 new partners in its annual promotions round. None of them are joining the firm’s equity ranks, however. Last October the firm promoted 25 equity partners in a total round of 108, making heavy use of the new salaried partner rank it crated in 2021. This year the firm has promoted 56 new partners, all of whom are salaried.
