LGIM appoints Asia head
Legal & General Investment Management has hired David Hoantee Peng as head of Asia-Pacific ex-Japan. He joins from Standard Life Aberdeen, where he led the Asia business for more than seven years. At LGIM Peng will be based in Hong Kong and report to Roger Bartley, vice-chairman – investments, who is based in London.

BNY Mellon focuses on European growth
BNY Mellon has named its first head of business development for Germany, Austria and central and eastern Europe. Stephan Koschmieder will take up the role at the custodian having spent 11 years at Euroclear. In his new role, he will focus on growing BNY Mellon’s custody, depositary and fund accounting business in the region. He will be based in Frankfurt and report to Dennis Presburg, head of asset servicing business development for northern Europe.
