Trading Places: SocGen’s investment bank co-heads, Credit Suisse exit to Nomura, Investec doubles down on secondaries

Societe Generale named fresh co-heads of its investment banking unit, the latest senior changes at the French bank under new chief executive Slawomir Krupa. The French bank has appointed Carl Bassili and Bruno Magnouat as co-heads of its investment banking division, it said in a statement. The pair, based in Paris, will report into Demetrio Salorio, SocGen’s head of global banking and advisory, who took the role in May.

Nomura hired a senior Credit Suisse dealmaker for its green technology unit as it looks to grow the specialist investment banking team in Europe. The Japanese bank hired Christian Brucher, a 13-year Credit Suisse veteran, as head of its next-generation transport and logistics investment banking team in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
