Trading Places: The resurrection of Rose, LGIM’s new era, EY drops the Ball

Former NatWest chief executive Dame Alison Rose, who resigned over a scandal linked to debanking Brexit campaigner Nigel Farage last year, re-emerged as a senior adviser at private equity firm Charterhouse. Mid-market buyout firm Charterhouse appointed the former executive to the role in April, according to people familiar with the situation.

EY’s UK boss Hywel Ball stepped down, triggering a leadership race to succeed him. Former audit head Ball has been chair and managing partner of the UK firm since 2020, and his tenure in charge was extended late last year to June 2025.
