Four of Europe's largest electronic fixed-income trading venues have put their rivalries aside to form a lobby group, in a move that highlights the growing status of electronic platforms in traditionally voice-executed markets.

Icap's BrokerTec, MarketAxess Europe, Tradeweb Europe and MTS, an electronic fixed income platform owned by the London Stock Exchange, have come together to form the Electronic Debt Markets Association Europe, according to a statement on October 13.
