Chris Sier, the campaigner who led a drive for greater cost disclosure by investors two years ago for the Financial Conduct Authority, is launching a research project that aims to prove a link between fund managers’ fees, corporate culture and performance.

The research institute will be based at the University of Leeds and led by Dr Iain Clacher, the university’s pro dean for international and professor of finance and accounting. It is recruiting for postdoctorate researchers, and hopes to begin work in the second quarter of next year.
