The committee tasked with holding the government and the City to account is calling on evidence for its inquiry on the economic cost of lockdown.

“The Treasury Committee has today issued a further call for evidence for its inquiry into the economic impact of coronavirus," the watchdog said in a statement. "As another national lockdown is introduced across England, the Treasury Committee will continue to scrutinise the actions taken by the Government and bodies such as the Bank of England.”
