The Tokyo Stock Exchange, the worldâÂÂs second largest equity market, has become the fourth international exchange in six weeks to open an office in Beijing, the latest example of the worldâÂÂs major stock markets increasing competition for lucrative Chinese listings.
The unveiling of TSEâs first Chinese office, on Friday, followed similar moves by the London Stock Exchange earlier that day and Beijing openings by US rivals NYSE Euronext and Nasdaq at the start of December last year.
