A university student has landed a four-month internship at Europe’s largest asset manager after his inventive efforts outside Moorgate and Canary Wharf underground stations to secure a job in the Square Mile went viral.

David Tyoember, a black chemistry student at Imperial College London, stood outside two of the City’s busiest tube stops in August with a sign reading, “It’s not where I’m coming from, it’s where I’m going”, and handing out CVs.
