Turner plan ‘lacks investment insight'

One of the most influential pension fund consultants in the UK has criticised the Turner report, commissioned by the government, which called for a new pensions scheme and retirement at 68 by 2050.

Roger Urwin, head of investment consulting at Watson Wyatt, said last week that Lord Turner's plan involved the use of a fund-based technique that would lack strategic investment insight.
