Two chemicals firms head for the bond markets

Two chemical firms have unveiled first-time plans to raise capital in the bond markets, as analysts said companies in the sector were beginning to take advantage of more favourable market conditions.

Solvay, an international chemicals and plastics manufacturer based in Brussels, said it would be launching a €500m eurobond shortly via Deutsche Bank.
