Two of four retail fund managers marketed as the "fab four" up-and-coming talents at UK fund management group F&C have left the company after less than two years.

Makis Kaketsis and Luke Newman are leaving F&C for a global hedge fund group, according to a spokesman for the company, but it is not known which one.
