Citigroup and Bank of America have gone on the offensive against Enrico Bondi and his rescue plan for collapsed Italian dairy group Parmalat. Bank of America has said it is not guilty of a cover up. Citigroup is suing the Italian government claiming violation of its rights.

It is the latest twist in an increasingly acrimonious battle between the investment banks and Parmalat.
