Credit Suisse and UBS flew the flag for European banks by both winning a "rainmaker" industry award in a poll of bankers from the US mergers and acquisitions industry.

The Swiss banks claimed the top rainmaker accolade in two of 10 industry sectors included in the inaugural survey by Dealmaker, which polled thousands of company chief executives, private equity executives and others in the M&A industry.
