UBS appoints FICC emerging markets head

Swiss bank hires former Bank of America Merrill Lynch credit trading head as it pushes ahead with plans for emerging markets business

UBS has appointed a former Bank of America Merrill Lynch credit trading head to fill a senior position in its fixed income, currencies and commodities for the emerging markets, which was vacated when Rajeev Misra was promoted in January, as the Swiss bank pushes ahead with plans to grow the business.

UBS has named Can Uran as global co-head of FICC emerging markets, alongside Ritesh Dutta, according to an internal memo seen by Financial News. He will also be a member of the FICC executive committee.
