UBS compensation plan opposed by minority

Pay packages of top bank executives have been under mounting pressure because of investor dissatisfaction with lackluster performance

UBS became the latest European bank to face investor anger over compensation as a large minority of shareholders on Thursday voted against its executive pay plans.

More than 36% of UBS shareholders voted "no" in the non-binding poll at the bank's annual meeting.
