UBS has downgraded its forecast for the UK economy, citing the ongoing uncertainty around Brexit negotiations and a sluggish global backdrop.

In research note dated January 29, Switzerland’s largest bank announced it now expects the UK’s economy will expand by 1.5% this year and 1.2% in 2020, revised down from its previous predictions of 1.8% and 1.3% respectively.
