Andrew Barker has quit as co-head of European equity strategy at UBS after less than 18 months in the job to join easyJet, the low-cost UK airline and one of the companies Barker covered during a decade as head of airline research at UBS.

Barker, who will join easyJet in February as head of investor relations, was promoted to run UBS's European strategy team alongside former economist Kevin Gaynor.
