UBS has hiked salaries for its junior bankers for the second time in a year, bringing it in line with Wall Street rivals, as banks continue to battle to retain those on the lowest rung of the career ladder.

The Swiss bank has increased entry-level pay for analysts in the US to $110,000, according to people familiar with the matter, up from the $100,000 salaries introduced in August last year.
