UBS has hired Huw van Steenis, an adviser to the Bank of England governor and one of the City’s leading minds on the issues affecting financial services companies, as its head of investor relations.

The former Morgan Stanley and Schroders executive will also chair a new sustainable finance committee at the Swiss bank when he joins on September 2, according to a statement. He will work closely with Martin Osinga, who has been serving as UBS’s interim head of investor relations.
