UBS hires dealmaking duo for new London ESG team

UBS has hired a pair of dealmakers for its team of bankers working on ESG-related transactions, as firms scramble for expertise in an area that is expected to fuel lucrative fees.

The Swiss bank has taken on Josiane Fanguinovény and Viv Sedov for its ESG advisory team in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, according to a memo seen by Financial News. UBS launched the unit in September last year, the latest bank to create a team of dealmakers dedicated to helping firms with the clean energy transition that is anticipated to produce a rich pipeline of deals.
