UBS recruits Morgan Stanley man for research role

Swiss bank hands Morgan Stanley executive reins of its research effort globally, with direct reporting line to investment bank chief Andrea Orcel

UBS has hired a Morgan Stanley executive to run its research effort globally, and given the position greater prominence by handing him a direct reporting line to investment bank chief executive Andrea Orcel.

Juan Luis Perez has resigned from Morgan Stanley to take the role at UBS, where he will report to Orcel. Perez will also take be on the investment bank's executive committee.
