UBS has persuaded one of its former senior client advisers to return after a year at Barclays Wealth, following a string of defections from its UK operation.

Jonathan Lancely, who has spent only 12 months at Barclays, has agreed to rejoin UBS in return for promotion that will leave him in charge of a team of client advisers focusing on high net worth individuals.
