Jürg Zeltner, president of wealth management at UBS, will step down from his role within the next three weeks, the company said in a surprise announcement this morning.

Zeltner, who joined the bank more than 30 years ago, has been responsible for UBS’s wealth management business outside of North America and had been a board member for the past nine years. Zeltner will also leave the Swiss bank’s group executive board.
