UBS restructures M&A

UBS has restructured its European mergers and acquisitions business, and reverted to a more generalist model as previously favoured by SG Warburg.

UBS has grouped junior bankers of various disciplines into a 200-strong corporate finance team. The bankers will develop a more generalist skill base, reversing the trend of the late 1990s of encouraging sector, country or product specialisation.
